None Dare Call It Treason

In the December 12 ruling by the US Supreme Court handing the election to George Bush, the Court committed the unpardonable sin of being a knowing surrogate for the Republican Party instead of being an impartial arbiter of the law. If you doubt this, try to imagine Al Gore's and George Bush's roles being reversed and ask yourself if you can conceive of Justice Antonin Scalia and his four conservative brethren issuing an emergency order on December 9 stopping the counting of ballots (at a time when Gore's lead had shrunk to 154 votes) on the grounds that if it continued, Gore could suffer "irreparable harm," and then subsequently, on December 12, bequeathing the election to Gore on equal protection grounds. If you can, then I suppose you can also imagine seeing a man jumping away from his own shadow, Frenchmen no longer drinking wine.

Where Is The Outrage Over The Murder of a U.S. Citizen?

Last week, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder gave a speech in which he attempted to justify what the administration did. His reasoning was not compelling. In Holder's formulation, the U.S. government has the right to kill citizens if said citizens present an imminent threat of violent attack and if capturing them alive is not a feasible option. It can do this, said Holder, speaking at Northwestern University School of Law, without judicial oversight.

The Syrian situation where the UN is wanting to start sanctions against them, but China and Russia stood up to the UN and U.S. and said NO. The Fukushima situation which is getting worse every day and what I have read today is very disturbing. I saved the information to write about it later. The Euro Zone situation and them kicking the ball down the road to make it last longer. The U.S. government corruption situation where they are doing everything as fast as they can to lock up the citizens of the U.S. and they have taken our freedoms away. The Foreclosure Fraud situation and the U.S. government sanctioning the fraud. The MF Global situation where it shows banks or those in power can literally steal billions from the regular folks and never be arrested or charged and the CEO even being called "Honorable" in the Congressional hearings after he stole the money. The corruption of the Judicial system and Judges to cover up the stealing of the money and even put banks ahead of the people in getting their money. The list keeps going on and on. The Sh** is flying every which way world wide and as soon as we look at one spot we have to turn and look at another. Also do we look at the crisis of humanity? The people of Japan being killed slowly and steadily and the Haitian people who have not gotten the help they have needed and they are still living in horrid conditions almost two years since their quake? The homelessness here in the U.S. from all the foreclosure fraud do we dare look at that with our eyes wide open?

Congressman Introduces Resolution Reaffirming Use of Military Without Congressional Approval is an Impeachable Offense

Panetta on Iran: 'We Will Act If We Have To'

IF I had the chance to question Secretary Panetta, here is what I would like to ask him, in light of the fact that he has stated that Iran is not creating nuclear weapons as of yet:
"Secretary Panetta, as you well appreciate, several nuclear-armed countries (Pakistan, China, and Russia, to be precise) have all had some in their leadership go public in stating that should Iran be attacked militarily, they would go to Iran's aid.
So isn't what we have here the potential for a global thermonuclear war over an alleged Iranian weapons program which cannot be proven to exist?!?"

Iran vs Israel: What The Media Wants You To Forget

What Really Happened

The corporate media have been given their orders to throw the focus back on to Iran.
Here is a recap of what they are trying to make you forget.
1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.
2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.
3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.
4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.
5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.
6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement of a planned underground (to avoid being bombed) enrichment facility. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.
7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.
8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.
9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.
10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.
11. Recently revealed documents prove not only that Israel has nuclear weapos, but actually tried to sell some to Apartheid South Africa. Who else Israel approached to sell nuclear weapons remains an unasked question.
12. In 1965, Israel stole over 200-600 pounds of weapons-grade uranium from the United States.
13. Declassified documents from the former South African regime prove not only that Israel has had nuclear weapons for decades, but has tried to sell them to other countries!
We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.
Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them.

Will Obama bow to AIPAC?

This weekend thousands will be headed to annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference in Washington, DC. At the conference, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Obama are expected to speak. It has been announced the two will meet privately to chat about Iran, but publicly the US and Israel haven't seen eye to eye on what to do about Iran's nuclear program.
